Oktoberfest event
This was from a while ago, and October is a while away so it would be good to suggest this now (could also be applied as St. Paddy's day). So much or so little could be done with this, it could be a weekend event, with ale drops, or it could be taken to the other extreme, and make it as big as wintersday, with maybe melandru vs lyssa (crazy magical beverages versus good old ale) and drunk arenas. Most likely it would be somewhere between, and at most be as big as the dragon festival, anyway I think it would be a really cool idea to pump guild wars full of alcohol over oktoberfest, and have towns full of drunkards. I know Gaile agrees.

Well, definately NOT as big as wintersday. There's already Halloween and Wintersday in that period.
Limited edition drinks might be cool.

Yeah, not that big, but that was just an example, it should mainly be about getting tonnes of GW alcy though, you could have gods go head to head seeing who has more drunk people in their rings

doesnt have to be in october, they could do it in another month. Have lyssa
giving out booze for emotes (she likes actors/mesmers) like the mad king. I wish they would bring back the wierd screen waving while drunk thing. Then while you are drunk they could have contests where you you have to pick things up and run with them.

October Fest: Enviromental Effect. You become drunk for 15 seconds. This effect is re-applied whenever you move.

Anet can't possible hold everyone in mind, so that isn't a real viable oppionion here
And i'd say NO ONE will be unhappy with more / free ale dropping everywere

Cheers for free ale! I think this would be a wonderful idea, and it doesn't even need to be in the same scale as Halloween or Wintersday. Just have a couple of days (or a weekend) where all ale is half price or with special alcoholic beverage traders in town.
I'm in. /signed

Yeah, just do anything for the event, dont even need to do up the towns. And by the way, Oktoberfest may only be heavily celebrated in Munich, but 4th of July is USA only, and Oktoberfest is known about everywhere, people travel to Munich to join in, and some places even have their own mini version, especially in communities that were founded by german groups (some places in the USA at least).

Maybe the title could be changed to Paddy's day/oktoberfest to make the message clearer.
